Saturday 30th June 2012

Another warm day.
Bit of a lazy day, tidied front garden and cleared up after cutting down the Chestnut Tree earlier in the week.
Jill and Vic came over for the afternoon and evening dinner. Went through Dad's paintings picking out ones favourite for framing as a memory. Jill took rest home for Grand Children to choose.
Picture of Puff Ball found under Jill's Bamboo Tree.

Monday / Tuesday 25th & 26th June 2012

Two very hot days working on clearing Mum's overgrown Shrub Border. Best kept to myself but needless to say she gave me a pretty hard time.
Picture 1 - Before I started.
    "      2 - Job done.
    "      3 - Inspection time.
    "      4 - Second opinion.
I cut back all the Shrubs and used Strimmer to cut weeds in between. Idea now to keep cutting so the border becomes part of the lawn. The area that was full of bulbs I dug and removed all bulbs (will re-plant at home) and then grass seeded.

Not exactly summer weather but at least dry.
Morning spent weeding and Woodpecker watching and the afternoon cutting lawns and more Bird watching.
Suffering big time with back and shoulder, pretty sure caused by cutting down the Chestnut Tree yesterday.

Saturday 23rd June 2012

An ok sort of day, warm and sunny during the morning but cold and windy during the afternoon.
Sadly had to cut down the Chestnut Tree this morning, branches were cutting into the shed roof. All shredded and now spread about the garden, so re-cycled!
Brilliant to meet up with Beth and the Family this afternoon in Arborfield for a round of Crazy Golf. Beth was looking brilliant, hair re-grown, colour back in her cheeks and looking like the Beth we know. Well done Beth, you are one strong Girl and wish you well for the future.xxx
Young Spotted Woody entertained again, has almost mastered the art of hanging from a feeder, did miss completely at one point this afternoon and ended up in a heap on the grass!
Trail camera pickerd up a Hedgehog at the Hotel last night along with three Cats so hopefully the Rodents now have the message - keep out!
